Rice Pudding Recipe

Although old fashioned rice pudding is a great comfort food for toddler.  This recipe is so easy to make and best of all it's a great way to use up your leftover rice!

* Tip - If you're looking to reduce the sugar in your toddler's diet try banana rice pudding.  Mash a very ripe banana in a bowl and stir through cooked recipe (in this case you can reduce the sugar or omit it altogether since the banana will give it a naturally sweet taste)

Ingredients:

1/2 cup cooked rice
1 cup milk
4 teaspoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1/4 cup raisins (optional)

Directions:

Combine milk and sugar in medium pan and bring to a boil. Stir in cooked rice. Stir in cinnamon (if using).  Cook, stirring regularly for about 5 minutes or until pudding starts to thicken.  Serve topped with raisins or fruit if desired.
